May 17, 2025 @ 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Free
ew25-04

Instructor: Eva Gronowitz

This workshop suits adults as well as kids ages 6 to 106. It’s a fun workshop for the whole family.

This will be a 4-hour live action marionette puppet building course. All materials are included.

In this course you will learn about different materials that are best for marionette puppets in addition to learning how to design, build and rig your puppet for puppeteering. You will also get a general understanding of the mechanism of a marionette.

This course is a lot of fun and you will be puppeteering by the end of it.

Instructor has taught this class many times before and it is so fun seeing the fabric ,fur and feathers come together to a life like creature dancing round the room.

The benefits are plenty from this class:

  • The ready puppets can be used to play with, preform with, use as educational aids.
  • This is also a class that can be retaught to students in school or after programs.
  • The class also as mentioned above teaches the mechanism of a marionette puppet and can be applied to other marionette project in the future.
